Located in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample, LomoAlto & LomoBajo offer matured beef under a unique premise: selecting the best pieces that the market offers, one by one, and offering the diner the finest Iberian and international breeds.
On the upper floor, called LomoAlto, the meat is served on a plate. In an elegant and spacious bistro environment, the process of selecting and cutting the most suitable piece for each diner is shared. In addition, each table has its own heat lamp that will keep the meat at the ideal temperature without changing its cooking point.
In turn, LomoBajo occupies the ground floor of the restaurant. This space is designed to enjoy the haute cuisine of meat, but between breads. With the aim of reinventing and dignifying the meat sandwich, LomoBajo has designed a gourmet menu that is both informal and daring.
We are looking for a KITCHEN ASSISTANT.
Functions
- Carries out cleaning tasks in the different areas of the kitchen (worktops, stoves, ovens, machinery, electrical appliances…).
- Carries out the cleaning of kitchen utensils and kitchenware.
- Washes, cuts and peels raw fruits, vegetables and greens. Occasionally intervenes, assisting the cook, in the preparation of some less complex dishes, such as garnishes and menu complements.
- Transports and stores raw materials and materials used in the kitchen and in the pantry.
- Tidies up and organises the kitchen.
- Sorts and throws away waste.
- Complies with the regulations related to waste management on the facilities.
- Complies with good environmental practices.

Requirements
- Academic training in the Hotel and Restaurant Business is desirable.
- Specific training in technical product, culinary and wine knowledge; user-level office computer skills are desirable.
- Minimum experience of at least 1 year in the position.
- Residence in the province of the vacant position.
- Languages: Spanish, other languages are valued.
- Immediate availability and flexible working hours.
